The new version of mother of pearl style sewing set contains a pair of mother of pearl scissors, a mother of pearl thimble and a mother of pearl thread winder. The box is made in the style of days gone by: the wooden box is covered with a pretty pink galluchat-style paper. The interior of the lid is made of grey satin, stamped with Sajou in silver. The scissors, thimble and thread winder are placed on an pink felt. These scissors are inspired by the Charles X style : the handles have mother of pearl effect handles, a very popular material of the time, and the blades are fine and delicate. Together they make a very light pair of scissors that are a delight to use. Quality scissors can be recognized by, among other things, their pairing marks (you will notice the number "51" on the photo presented here) : these are the signs that the blades have been perfectly adjusted for the start of their fabrication. These scissors, including the pompom, are made entirely in France. It should be pointed out that it takes a dozen qualified people to make each pair.The BOX and all its' contents are made in France.
